If you live in Tampa Bay, Why are you here?

I moved to Tampa with my family when I was 14 years old. I hated Tampa for many years. I'm originally from NYC lived there half my life. I hated Tampa for years! And somewhere in the hate I fell in love. Yes, I do miss the big city, but Tampa is my home, and after 15 years of fighting it I have finally started appreciating it.

How long have you lived here?

16 years

What neighborhood do you live in, why did you choose it and what do you like about it?

I live in the SOHO area. I've always liked South Tampa, and my office was located in the suntrust building. It made sense to move here. But i love that everything is around me, my hangouts, my friends, and my family, well their only 20 mins away.

If you were to move to a different neighborhood, what would it be and why?

Tampa Heights. Its so versatile. Its a hidden gem.

What is your favorite thing about Tampa?

The people, Gasparilla, the weather.

What kinds of things are you involved in?

I love taking pictures, and have dreamed about opening a gallery. Not sure if I'm good though, I'm definitely a beginner.

Tell us about what you do.

Well for the last 10 years, i dreamed about being in advertising. I went to a design school and got my degree in Graphic Design. Did that for a little while and then became a traffic manager at an ad agency. did that for last 2 1/2 years until I was laid last December. now, I am helping my friend launch her Etsy store using Social Media. I have tweeted my little heart out the last few weeks, trying to teach myself best practices.

If you live in Tampa, Why do you stay?

It's a love affair, I think.
