Tampa Bay Symphony & the Great Russian Masters plus 500 FREE TICKETS
Jack Heller and the Tampa Bay Symphony and the 90+ musicians of the Tampa Bay Symphony are presenting a program featuring the great Russian masters. Our headliner will be Christine Hartley who will thrill you with her performance of Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1.
Come see and hear this magnificent orchestra perform on Sunday, February 21st at 4:00 PM at Louise Ferguson Hall in Tampa's David A. Staz, Jr. Center for the Performing Arts. This was formerly known as the Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center. Note that the Sunday performance is at 4:00pm at the request of many of our younger audience members. Music lovers will be delighted that the orchestra's albums will be on sale prior, during and after each performance.
Thanks to the generosity of our contributors, ticket prices at the door are still a very affordable $20.
Continuing an old tradition, the Tampa Bay Symphony will be offering a total of 500 free admission vouchers for this concert series to public, private and home schooled students. These may be obtained by calling (727) 867-6505 prior to February 17th to insure timely mail delivery of the vouchers.

MOSI to host one Art Exhibition - Call to Artists for Submissions
The Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) is accepting submissions for the upcoming one exhibition in it’s ARC Gallery.
one is a multimedia art exhibition that explores the concept of “one”. “One”, as a number, refers to the integer before two and after zero. It could also be perceived as unity or an ideological force, such as narcissism, capitalism or monotheism. Many facets explore the singular; a sole aim, a single life, a solitaire game.
The exhibition will consist of a broad spectrum of ideas, expressions, and critical examinations of “one” or“1” by local artists and researchers in visual studies.
The opening reception will be held on January 29, 2010 from 7pm to 11pm.
Accepted video work for this exhibition will have a screening in the IMAX® Dome Theatre during the opening reception.
All artwork accepted, will exhibit in the ARC Gallery at MOSI and will be on display from January 29 through February 26, 2010.
Artists interested in participating are asked to fill out an application, which can be found at
http://www.mosi.org/ArcGalleryOne.html and submit the application along with a resume, artist statement, and images, to arcgallery@mosi.org.
A $20 application fee is required for consideration. Please send check or money order to: Museum of Science & Industry, 4801 E Fowler Ave. Tampa, FL 33617. ATTN: Arc Gallery “one exhibition”.
