Joan of Arc – Saint, Warrior, Heretic?
Enjoy a rare chance to see Jean Anouilh’s spellbinding play about Saint Joan in its adaptation by Lillian Hellman. Directed by Nancy Cole and with Magali Naas as Joan, The Lark explores the interplay of historical facts and religious mystery against the background of Joan’s Inquisition trial. How did a simple pious peasant girl become the victorious leader of the French armies? And what is the Inquisition to make of her conversations with an archangel and two saints? This gripping courtroom drama will give you lots of food for thought. The Lark is suitable for adults and teens.

The Lark will open tonight March 11 and run through April 4, 2010 at the Gorilla Theatre. The Gorilla Theatre is located at 4419 N. Hubert Avenue in Tampa. Call 813.879.2914 for reservations and show time information.
