The exhibit
Snake Dance Moon Contemporary Native American Art opens today Tuesday,
November 3 and runs through November 27, 2009 at the Hillsborough Community College Ybor Campus Art Gallery.
The
opening reception will be today, Tuesday
November 3rd from 5 - 8 p.m. The Gallery Talks will start at 6:30 p.m.

Crosstown Expressway Mural Dedication
Tomorrow,
Wednesday November 4th at 9:00 a.m. The Greater Brandon Arts Council will dedicate the new
Expressway Mural.
Anyone attending the dedication is asked to
meet on the 2nd floor of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce, Pauls Drive, for a
breakfast reception. The GBAC is providing the food.
Shuttle buses will take everyone to the site. Local dignitaries and the general public are invited. Brandon Community Advantage Center (BCAC) project.

Las Damas de Arte and The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts
FMOPA is thrilled with the results of the
Portraits for Homeless Families project made possible with a grant from
Las Damas de Arte.
All of the family photographs were taken by
Roberta Kaye, FMOPA member and photographer. The participating families are eagerly waiting to see the outcome!
The photos have been selected, printed, matted and framed, and about half have been delivered. In all,
20 families will receive these professional portraits!
Jim De Mauro, Assistant Director for FMOPA, personally delivered six portraits to
Metropolitan Ministries, and another four to the
Salvation Army. Both agencies plan to present the photographs to the families early next week. The project Portraits for Homeless Families will be exhibited at FMOPA in March 2010.
Aircraft Owners & Pilots Association (AOPA) Benefit Concert with John Oates
John Oates will be in concert at the
Tampa Convention Center on Friday
November 6, 2009. This is a benefit concert. Due to his love and dedication to aviation and in support of AOPA`S General Aviation Serves America campaign, recording artist John Oates of the world renowned
Hall & Oates will be presenting his new concert tour, 1,000 Miles of Life.
This concert will be a combination of talent never to be repeated...so get your ticket now!
